The Bowdenian Museum is interested in historical phonographic and mechanically reproduced music, including shellac gramophone records produced in Australia for international labels, wax phonograph cylinders, and pianola (player piano) rolls.

While still a work in progress, we hope to present our collection here for collectors, researchers, and enthusiasts.

Currently, a majority of our shellac records are playable on our Antiques & Anthropology collection item, A1, a reproduction HMV gramophone, as well as A29, a portable gramophone.
