Welcome…

…to my museum! (We’re open 24-7, you know!)

This website is a chance for me to present some of my ad-hoc projects alongside objects from my personal collection of antiques and natural history specimens, which I have the conceit to title Mr Bowden’s Museum in the manner of Elias Ashmole’s Ashmolean Museum, Ashton Lever’s Leverian Museum, and Sir John Soane’s Museum.

This is not a real, certified museum - it’s more of a playful art project/reinterpretation of what a ‘museum’ can be.

The objects in the collection are purely of interest to me, whether for their beauty, craft technique, whimsy, or because I just found them interesting. Where historical value exists, this was often by accident!

There is no theme; there is no purpose - it exists purely for my amusement. In view of that, I hope you will enjoy what I have to show you!
